Rashad Hauter is an attorney at Hauter Law Firm, PC, a North Carolina law firm practicing in the areas of criminal defense and immigration law. Prior to opening up his private law practice, Mr. Hauter served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Wake County District Attorney’s Office and as a Resource Prosecutor for the North Carolina Conference of District Attorneys, where he traveled the state prosecuting DWI and Vehicular Homicide cases. These experiences have greatly enhanced Mr. Hauter’s ability to represent clients in criminal defense matters in Vance and Wake counties. Having gained a tremendous amount of trial experience as a prosecutor, Mr. Hauter is extremely comfortable in the courtroom and is not afraid to defend his clients at trial when litigation is in their best interests.
Mr. Hauter earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where he made the Dean’s List. He then went on to earn his law degree from Campbell University in North Carolina, where he earned the Book Award and was selected to the Order of the Barristers.
As a prosecuting attorney focusing on DWI cases, Mr. Hauter was nominated as a Prosecutor of the Year in 2015 by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). As a criminal defense attorney in Henderson and North Carolina, Mr. Hauter has been chosen among the Top 40 Under 40 by National Trial Lawyers and among 10 Best Attorneys for North Carolina by the American Institute of DUI/DWI Attorneys. He has also received the Client’s Choice award from the legal services provider Avvo and has received the Criminal Law – State Felony & Misdemeanor award from Lead Counsel.
